Trump headlines act considering still being charged

Two Republican Party conventions were held on Saturday, a day after former US President Donald Trump was accused of handling confidential data improperly.

Mr. Trump, who is vying to represent the Republican Party in the 2024 presidential race, asserted that he was being pursued in federal court as a result of his plans to run for office again.

He didn’t, however, appear to be a man under a lot of legal pressure at the North Carolina Republican Party convention.

As he entered the stage and was greeted by hundreds of people standing up, he was clearly enjoying the attention. After a three-course meal, he was the main course.

With jugs of soda, there was salad to start, steak for the main course, and strawberry ice cream for dessert.

Only the day before, federal accusations against Mr. Trump were made public in an indictment, accusing him of improper management of classified information, including nuclear secrets. But Mr. Trump, who insists he did nothing wrong, was confrontational as usual. He claimed that nothing will stand in the way of his bid for the presidency. Not even jail, according to reports.

And they didn’t want him to stop in the huge conference room.

They enjoyed his humor, frequently applauded him, and cheered when he made audacious claims like being the sole candidate capable of averting World War III.

After all, he was speaking at a convention dinner for the Republican Party where attendees had paid to attend.

Earlier, former vice-President Mike Pence was welcomed with open arms, but the excitement around his former boss was even greater.
