2 Russian killed in car wreck in Pattaya

Two Russian visitors, including one who was 18 years old, were found dead in a car disaster in Pattaya after a terrible early-morning collision.

The incident occurred in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province, on Sukhumvit Road, inbound towards Sattahip district, close to Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 87. to 5:00 AM on June 11th, Pattaya Police and Sawang Boriboon rescuers arrived to the area in response to the report. Authorities responded to the area and discovered a Toyota Altis sedan with a Bangkok registration had struck a palm tree on the median strip.

The car was severely damaged, with components strewn across both sides of the road, and the tree had been knocked over.Authorities found two trapped victims inside the automobile, later identified as Ms. Valeraiia Khimich, 18, and Mr. Gleb Solovel, 23. The 23-year-old was the passenger and the 18-year-old was behind the wheel. They were both Russian.

Rescuers used hydraulic jacks to pry open the automobile and pull the two victims—who were still alive—out of the collision. However, they later passed away from severe wounds. The deceased were sent to a local hospital, where their embassies, family, and final funeral arrangements were made after contacting them.

To determine the precise reason for the collision, Pattaya Police examined CCTV footage of the incident. Although there were no eyewitnesses to the occurrence, police and emergency personnel at the scene of the collision thought speed was a contributing factor based on the impact damage to the vehicle.
