Man climbs utility pole to protest 8M THB withdrawn without consent.

A businessman from Pak Nam Pho in Nakhon Sawan province climbs utility pole on Ngam Wong Wan while on Facebook Live to protest and spread awareness of his 8 million THB that was withdrawn without his consent and never returned 11 years ago.

The incident took place of the 21st of this month, the local Nonthaburi province police were notified of a man standing on top of a utility pole located close to the Prachachuen tollway next to the Ministry of Public Health Department. The man also attached a large sign on to the pile that states in Thai “8.3 million missing, Bank + Thief = ???” this message makes us raise the question to whether our money and assets are truly safe in the hands of the public banks.

The businessman is Akewitch 39 years old a local businessman in Nakhon Sawan. He chose to climb a tall utility pole used for telecommunications, but the man made sure of his safety by using safety pieces of equipment, this displays that his actions are to spread awareness and to ask the question of where his money went to the bank through Facebook Live and to the passersby.

Akewitch stated through his live video, he wishes the bank would come out and help enlighten him of how his money was withdrawn without his consent 11 years ago and that they would finally return his money as the case is still going on bringing trouble into his life, the bank has never given a clear answer to the issue although it is his own money.

When lunch time came Akewitch came down from the utility pole as the police asked him to come down, he then apologized through his live video of his act of protest to those he may have bothered including news reporters that came to report his actions.

Akewitch stated his discovery that the signature used to withdraw the money was forged. The bank would not accept that it was an insider who did this nor would they return his money. His house is about to be seized by the bank as he had to use his house for cash in fighting the case against the bank.
