Colombians arrested on suspicion of burglaries

Police also revealed stolen goods and tools that the suspects were accused of using in crimes. Among them were a Toyota vehicle with two fictitious license plates, burglary tools, balaclavas, 32,700 baht in cash, and various foreign currencies.

In the province of Samut Prakan, three people of Colombian descent—two men and a woman—have been detained on burglary-related charges.
According to Samut Prakan police, the suspects—Alexandro Giovan Cuellar Pulido, Henrry Yeferson Delgado Bogota, and Maricela Cifuentes Hernandez—were apprehended on Wednesday in Pathum Thani province while they were getting ready to carry out a second burglary.

Police also revealed stolen goods and tools that the suspects were accused of using in crimes. Among them were a Toyota vehicle with two fictitious license plates, burglary tools, balaclavas, 32,700 baht in cash, and various foreign currencies.

The suspects had broken into a home in a posh housing development on the night of August 29, and they later broke into two additional homes in the province, according to Pol Colonel Chotwat Luangwilai, deputy commander of Samut Prakan police, who made the announcement on Friday.
A second-floor safe in the first home was forced open. The home’s owner said that the stolen goods included gold necklaces, gold rings, and diamond jewelry valued over 500,000 baht, as well as money totaling 200,000 baht, 500 US dollars, and 50,000 rupees.

Police were guided to the suspects’ rented home in the province of Chonburi by security camera footage. The accused were in Pathum Thani on September 6, but no arrests were made till then.
