A Thai man claimed that his Buddhist amulet’s extraordinary powers enabled him and his fiancée to escape a car accident near Pattaya with only minor injuries. Ironically, he acknowledged dozing off behind the wheel.
In the Huay Yai sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province, Mr. Anant Tribat, a 24-year-old from Sakon Nakhon province, and his unnamed girlfriend were rescued from their black Honda Civic automobile that had driven off Highway 331 and crashed into the underbrush by the wayside.
Before the rescue crew arrived, the couple was stranded inside of their vehicle. The accident left Mr. Anant, the driver, fully uninjured, although his girlfriend received minor scrapes.
