In honor of Sirada Sinprasert, a teacher who lost her life to a stray bullet during a gun attack on vocational students on Saturday, teachers, students, and parents from Sacred Heart Convention School laid flowers by the school today.
The 27-year instructor was honored at the school with a religious service.
Nathsikarn Manee-in, the school’s assistant director for personnel and budgets, said Sirada’s sudden death was a big loss because of her kindness and generosity.
The school on Sunthorn Kosa Road in Khlong Toei district has been secured inside and out since the incident, with Tha Rua and Thung Mahamek police stations rotating from 6am to 5 pm.
The school’s assistant director of administration, Lertsak Jamkhlai, said they also screen all vehicles entering the compound to make sure they have the school sticker and that parents wait at the school entrance to pick up their children.
The lone gunman, who is believed to have attended a rival college, critically wounded a Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok student. Sirada died.
