Yet another raid finds yet more under age drinkers, druggies and a heap of ice
Bang Lamung district chief Naris Niramaiwong’s crusade to rid Pattaya of miscreants gained more speed after a raid on Friday morning, July 28th.
After a series of less than successful forays into the night of the resort his raiding party of soldiers and local cops did a whole lot better at the Sam Singh Tomboy and Model Pub in Soi Bongkot.
There were 300 revelers at the South Pattaya night spot still going strong at 4am – well past official closing.
Some 14 were underage. Thirty two tested positive for drugs while 109 bags of “ice” methamphetamine and 18 bags of “Ya K” or ketamine were found in a locker.
The ice weighed in at 136.21 grams and was taken into evidence.
Not surprisingly none of those present admitted to being the owner of the drugs so they threw the book at the manager.
He was charged with eight offences including having no license, serving under 20s, allowing drug taking and most seriously having ice and ketamine in possession for sale.
Naris had a hunch that bad things were going on at the venue after his office received complaints from the public.
Siamchon News reported that his crusade would continue.
Last week he busted a group of grannies playing cards and in February he caught a British man in a short time sex room. Other raids have turned up little, until Friday.
