Mike Tyson Shows Off Impressive Speed At 53

Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson has shown that years away from the ring haven’t slowed him down – check out this video:

In a recent clip he shared on Instagram, the former heavy weight champ displayed his legendary speed and power after 15 years away from boxing.

The clip was quickly flooded with praise from fans, with Dwayne Johnson commenting: “My brother you got me ready to run thru a MF wall now. To the gym I go.”

UFC champ Khabib Nurmagomedov wrote: “Can’t believe, this is another level.”

While actor Martin Lawrence added: “Felt that from here.”
Last month, Tyson, 53, announced that he plans to take part in exhibition fights for charity and has given us all a glimpse into his training on his Instagram page.

Speaking to rapper T.I on Instagram Live, Tyson said: “I’ve been hitting the mitts for the last week.

“That’s been tough, my body is really jacked up and really sore from hitting the mitts.

“I’ve been working out, I’ve been trying to get in the ring, I think I’m going to box some exhibitions and get in shape.

“I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.

“Some charity exhibitions, make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf***er like me.”
Opening up about his fitness levels, he added: “I do two hours on cardio, I do the bike and the treadmill for an hour, then I do some light weights, 300, 250 reps.

“Then I start my day with the boxing thing, I go in there and hit the mitts, 30 minutes, 25 minutes, start getting in better condition.

“I’m start to put those combinations together. I’m in pain, I feel like three guys kicked the s*** out of me.”
But not everyone is keen to see Iron Mike back in the ring – fellow boxer and two-time champ George

Foreman reckons Tyson should stay in retirement.

Posting on Twitter he said: “Tyson has done enough great things for boxing. ‘No more is needed. He is in the Hall of Fame and was a mighty puncher.”
