A father on Friday (May 1) witnessed his 31-year-old daughter jump to her death from their flat’s balcony on the 23rd floor of a condominium in Bangkok’s Phya Thai district.
Police showed up later to find the father fainted next to the body of Kawinnavia on the street. Though he eventually came to, he was in no state to be interrogated.
Officers later spoke to Kawinnavia’s mother, who only said she was about to step out to buy some food but just before leaving, she turned around to see her daughter jump off the balcony.
The body has been sent to Ramathibodi Hospital for an autopsy.
