A MAN has been charged with murder after a “lovely” mum-of-two was stabbed to death in Manchester.
Aubrey Padi, 46, has been charged with the murder of 43-year-old Tamara Padi.
He has been remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today.
Cops were called at around 3.40am last Wednesday by paramedics requesting assistance at a house on Lake Road in the Stalybridge area.
Tamara was rushed to hospital with stab wounds but died a short time later.
Her daughter Tia Padi yesterday paid a heartbreaking tribute to her mum.
She wrote: “I feel so distraught having to writing this. It all still feels so surreal when I woke up to this today, it just didn’t feel the same knowing you weren’t here, knowing that the most important woman in my life is no longer here with me.
“I not only lost my mum but also my best friend all at once.
‘LOVELY LADY’
“You always were such a happy and outgoing soul, you always knew how to put a smile on my face by just being your crazy happy self.
“I hope you know that you were and still are loved by everyone and I will make sure to take good care of Mia for you. I love you.”
Close friends of Tamara paid tribute on media following her tragic death.
Tanagra Jabu Nala wrote on Facebook: “I am heartbroken. It seems like yesterday we were discussing with you studying law and you took it to further heights.
Your beauty, kindness, and intelligence will remain in our hearts forever.
“My heart goes out to your beautiful lovely children.”
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, former colleague Adele Gardiner said: “I’m shocked, she was such a lovely lady.
“She was such a funny, outgoing girl.”
