The Lao Prime Minister’s Office announced that unvaccinated travelers no longer needed COVID-19 vaccination proof or Rapid Antigen Test (ATK) to enter the country.
Laos’ international airports, land borders, and ports of entry no longer require confirmation of immunization or Covid-19 test results.
The notice says the announcement follows the government’s usual meeting on November 21-22.
In May, Laos opened its border without testing. Between January and September, the country had nearly a million tourists, up 39% from last year.
In September, Thailand lifted its immunization certificate or negative Covid-19 test requirement for unvaccinated travelers to increase tourism.
