The Ministry of Labour has held an event to promote health among insurance policyholders in Amata City Industrial Estate in Chonburi Province, providing medical check-ups for employees from various companies operating in the estate.
The campaign is aimed at preventing chronic diseases among insurance policyholders and raising awareness of health issues among the group of laborers. Providing the services at the event were Exedy Friction Material Co. Ltd., Vibharam Amata Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, the Department of Medical Services, the Department of Health and the Department of Disease Control.
The check-up services include dental, optical, hearing and cancer examinations. Physicians also gave other useful advice to participating employees.
Labor Minister Pol. Gen. Adul Sangsingkeo, who presided over the opening ceremony of the event, said that the event was part of the government’s policy to provide state services to all workers and to address the inequality issue in society.
