Illegal Loy Krathong Firework Sellers Busted

At 6pm, on the afternoon of November 11, Banglamung police raided two shops after information had been received that they were selling fireworks to be used at the Loy Kratong Festival in Soi Nueng Planwan.

This year firework celebrations have been banned and the crackers had been smuggled in illegally.

Between the two shops search teams discovered 99,700 firecrackers.

The owner of the first shop called Thepleelasankapan, thirty-seven year old Ms Rattana Saepua, was caught hiding 34,000 firecrackers.

At the second location, Sri-aroon Sankapan, the owner Ms Sopitrada Jarurachadcanon, (also thirty-seven years old) was concealing 65,700 firecrackers.
