A BRITISH mum has been left terrified after a mystery photo of her sleeping appeared on her phone.
Debra Demetriou, from Newcastle, was left shaking after scrolling through pictures on her phone.
The full-time mum claims to have found a picture of herself in bed under the covers while she was sleeping.
This has terrified Debra, who insists she did not take the photo and there was no-one else in the house at the time.
Her eldest son had gone to work before the picture was taken, and her other son was with his dad, she claims.
She said: “I know you shouldn’t, but my phone had been under my pillow when I fell asleep. It was still there the next morning.
“I held down the picture to see the movement, and you can see bot my arms are by my side so it couldn’t even have been a selfie.
“And my eyes are half-open – if someone else had been in the room I’m sure I would have noticed them.
“I’m absolutely convinced nobody else was in the house.”
After claiming that other strange incidents had happened in the house, Debra now believes the photo could have been the work of a ghost.
A clairvoyant also told her that pictures from her son’s last birthday contained ghosts of deceased family members.
Paranormal investigator Sammy Rawlinson said: “Spirits do things to get our attention.
“if someone has passed in the last year it could be them trying to get her attention.”
Debra has not reported the incident to the police.
