Foreigner fighting for life after drowning incident
At around 2:00pm on August 27th, police and emergency services were called out to the Pratumnak area where a foreigner was in need of emergency help.
Arriving at the scene, emergency crews found the body of a foreign man laid on the beach. The man had no identification documents on him, but police estimated he was aged roughly 35 years old.
He was unconscious as the medical teams arrived and emergency CPR was performed at the scene before the body was rushed off to the Bangkok Pattaya hospital where he is said to be in a critical state.
The incident took place at a popular water sports activity spot in the Pratumnak area of Pattaya. Lifeguards in the area first became aware of a problem when the heard shouts for help from locals.

The managed to drag to body to shore but by that time, the victims was unconscious due to the large amount of water he had inhaled whilst struggling to breath.
Emergency assistance was immediately called for and lifeguards did all they could to pump the victim’s chest whilst they waited for help.
They told police that the man had been out on a small sailing boat and assume that he had fallen into the sea, but are unsure what caused the incident in the first place.
Police took several witness statements but will wait until the victim makes a full recovery before questioning him and only then will they make a decision regarding the investigation.
