Pattaya Fireworks Festival is back. On Nov 27 and 28, the night sky over the bay of Pattaya will once again become the venue of Thailand’s most celebrated pyrotechnic extravaganza.
As always, apart from the three sets of spectacular fireworks show which will begin around 7pm each evening, the beach area will also host concerts by famous artists, stage shows by performers from various Pattaya attractions and feature tons of food and drinks for revellers to enjoy from late afternoon until midnight. This year, however, everybody is required to wear a face mask.
The fireworks will be launched a few hundred metres away from the shore so they can be viewed from the entire length of the beach. If you don’t want to have sand on your clothes, bring a mat or buy one of the plastic sheets that will be on sale for this purpose. In the latter case, make sure you take it home for future use and refrain from littering the beach.
For those for whom a ground-level view may not be fulfilling, lookout points on Khao Phra Tamnak as well as beachside malls and several hotels, especially those housed in high-rise buildings, offer vantage points from different angles. At certain hotels, you can even appreciate the grand light show from the swimming pool. Of course, the best spots are limited. Alert your friends and do your research and book as soon as possible.
