A foreign man was found dead, washed ashore on Pattaya Beach, around noon on Sunday.
Local police were called to the beach opposite Soi Pattaya 3 Road, where the body of a Caucasian man was discovered. The man was dressed in black shoes and blue shorts, with a flower tattoo on his left arm and a bird tattoo on his right arm.
There were no signs of physical assault and no identification was found with the body. Based on the state of the body, authorities estimated that the man had been dead for about five hours.
Pattaya special task official Kocharin Chuchum, who had been patrolling the beach, was informed by a sunbed operator about a body lying face down on the shoreline. He then called the police and rescue workers to the scene.
The body was taken to Police General Hospital for an autopsy. The dead man has not yet been identified.
