an oil truck caught fire on Borommaratchachonnani Road (inbound) in Bangkok’s Thawi Wattana district.

When firefighters, rescuers, and police officers arrived, about half of the vehicle was already engulfed in flames.

Traffic was stopped while 10 fire vehicles put out the flames, which took 30 minutes. No one was hurt.Thanapol Ratchaneesiriphap, the driver, who is 55 years old, claimed he was transporting 40,000 liters of diesel from a storage in Samut Sakhon to a filling station in Saraburi.He claimed that as soon as he sensed the brakes and wheel were acting up, he made the decision to pull over and exit the truck.Soon after, there was an explosion, and the truck was completely engulfed in flames, the man recalled, adding that he had phoned the police right afterwards.
