A “massive” Russian missile barrage targets cities in Ukraine

As Russia fired “more than 100 missiles,” air raid sirens sounded throughout Ukraine.

In Kherson and Kyiv’s capital, explosions could be heard, and several missiles were shot down. An early-morning Thursday Russian missile attack on many Ukrainian areas, including the nation’s capital, was the most recent in a string of attacks on national infrastructure.

All around the nation, air raid sirens were audible. The regional government in Kyiv reported that air defense systems had been turned on to thwart the ongoing missile strike. In Kiev, explosive sounds could be heard.

The authorities said that they turned off the electricity in the regions of Dnipro, Odesa, and Kryvyi Rih in order to lessen the potential harm to key infrastructure facilities.
