A 74-year-old pensioner, identified as Gerhard T. from Germany, is accused of performing castrations on male body parts to satisfy his sexual fetish. He is charged with grievous bodily harm and allegedly targeted eight men between 2015 and 2019.
The operations came to light when one victim, severely injured, sought help from an online community, prompting investigators to question the victim and track down Gerhard T., as reported by the Erfurt District Court. The court heard that the men contacted Gerhard T. online to fulfill their sexual fantasies, and he performed the procedures on his sofa or kitchen table, charging up to £1,600.
Investigators discovered blood-splattered surgical kidney dishes, scissors, tweezers, and a tying tube at Gerhard T.’s home. Tests confirmed the blood came from several different victims.
Judge Udo Tietjen stated that the victims’ identities would remain confidential, despite their consent to the procedures. “It is not intended for the public to know who had their genitals removed and how. That violates the sexual and physical sphere of the victims,” he said.
This case bears resemblance to another involving Damien Byrnes, 36, who was jailed after cutting off the penis of Marius Gustavson, the ringleader of an extreme body modifications group. Byrnes described the act as “one off the bucket list” and filmed the procedure, which was uploaded to Gustavson’s pay-per-view “eunuch maker” website. The judge in that case described the incident as “disgusting and abhorrent.”
