A Swiss visitor who had a steel ring trapped on his penis was helped to remove it by Pattaya emergency workers, and he is currently healing, local authorities announced on Tuesday.
Rescue personnel were summoned to Pattaya on Monday night to assist a 52-year-old Swiss man who was in excruciating discomfort from a ring that is often worn at the base of the penis to maintain an erection by reducing blood flow. Rescuers from the Sawangboribul Foundation reported that the Swiss traveler called them from a South Pattaya apartment at 9 p.m. and claimed that the ring had caused his penis to become severely enlarged.
The medical staff took the steel ring off with great care.
