The main suspect sought for the brutal killing of a young Pattaya woman was apprehended in a remote Sakon Nakhon town close to the Kalasin region in northeastern Thailand. He is now being taken to Pattaya for further investigation. The savage stabbing death of 32-year-old Rattana Thammarak, who was discovered last week at an apartment complex in Central Pattaya near Soi Buakhao, stunned both locals and law officers. She had at least ten stab wounds to her face, neck, shoulder, and upper body. She had been left in her apartment for several days when a cleaner and the building’s landlord entered the unit after smelling something strange and discovered the unsettling scene.
Several males who had visited the victim on the day of the murder were recognized by Pattaya police, but their focus was mostly on Mr. Watcharaphon Ansongkram or Kik, 39, also known by the moniker “Kik Kilo 10,” who had been the last person to be seen alive on CCTV and with the deceased.Kik had left his usual home in the Sattahip neighborhood, but law enforcement in Kalasin and the Pattaya police were able to follow the signal from his cellphone all the way to the Kalasin border.
The remote province and village of Kut Bak, which is located near the boundary of Kalasin, were where Kik was discovered by Pol.Lt.Gen. Suwan Chiena Winthawat, Chief of Police, Kalasin Province in collaboration with the Chonburi Provincial Investigation Team. He was peacefully smoking a cigarette after being taken into custody by law enforcement pursuant to Pattaya Provincial Court Arrest Warrant 230/2566 dated May 21, 2023. He was residing in a wooden shack in a run-down neighborhood.
Kik was being driven to Pattaya overnight but refused to speak to the detectives or quickly make a plea. He is accused of killing someone while attacking them.
