A woman who killed her sister’s boyfriend so she could marry their father has given a horrifying blow-by-blow description of the twisted Valentine’s Day murder plot.
Anna Marie Choudhary, 33, has pleaded guilty to murdering John McGuire, 38, at her dad Larry McClure’s West Virginia home on February 14, 2019.
She claims Larry and her sister, John’s girlfriend Amanda McClure, 31, ordered her to kill him or they would hurt her children, according to The Daily Mail.
During her sentencing hearing on Wednesday (local time), the mum detailed John’s horrific death after buying a romantic Valentine’s Day meal for Amanda.
Boyfriend’s Valentine’s dinner takes horrific turn
John bought steaks, potatoes and wine for dinner for the pair at Larry’s home, but they were joined by Anna Marie and the girls’ dad, the publication reported.
However, when Amanda suggested the four of them play a “game” is when “things started to get strange”, she told the court, adding that they had taken homemade meth that didn’t crystallise correctly.
During the “game”, they tied John to a chair and Amanda smashed a bottle over his head, Anna Marie said.
“And the next thing I know John had reared up and was leaning back against the wall holding his head,” she told the court this week.
“And that’s when Larry looked at me and told me if I knew what was best for my children and wanted them to live, I would follow all instructions that were given to me from that moment on.”
Anna Marie said Amanda and Larry were convinced John was a federal informant and tortured him by hitting and standing on him until 6am the next morning. The victim repeatedly told them his social security number in order to prove his identity.
Amanda told Anna Marie to inject John with a syringe of “truth serum” that was actually the homemade meth, which made the 38-year-old stronger.
“They stood over me and told me I needed to finish it and needed to strangle him, so that’s what I did,” Anna Marie said, adding that she strangled him with a rope.
Daughter and dad begin relationship after burying body
Anna Marie said that her sister and dad began a relationship as soon as John was buried in the yard.
Two weeks later they were married and Anna Marie served as their witness.
“[They] went on like nothing happened and started having a relationship as soon as he was buried,” Anna Marie told the court, according to The Daily Mail.
On their wedding night, the trio dug up John’s body after Amanda became obsessed with the idea that he was still alive.
With Larry and Amanda planning on moving away, they dismembered his corpse and distributed in multiple places so whoever moved in wouldn’t find it.
Not long after, the trio were arrested. All pleaded guilty.
Larry is serving a life sentence while Amanda is serving a 40-year sentence.
Anna Marie is facing up to 40 years as well after pleading guilty to second-degree murder
