Transgender Woman in Pattaya Robbed

A 19-year-old transgender woman reported being robbed by a man she met online. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, May 19th, at a resort on Soi Map 2 in Pattaya, Chonburi. The victim, who asked to be referred to only as Bass, met a foreign man of unidentified nationality named Mike on the Line messaging app. After a brief conversation, they agreed to meet in person. Mike arrived in a white sedan to pick Bass up, and they drove to the resort together.

During the drive, Bass noticed several red flags. Mike allegedly requested she leave her phone in the car, claiming they shouldn’t use their phones while spending time together. At the resort, Mike gave Bass 1,000 baht to open a room. After showering, they spent time together, which led to a sexual encounter, according to Bass’s statement. Afterward, Mike went to wash up. When it was Bass’s turn to shower, Mike allegedly used the opportunity to steal her black crossbody bag containing 2,000 baht in cash, credit cards, identification documents, and personal belongings, including her phone in the vehicle. Mike then fled the scene in his sedan.

Bass immediately contacted the Nongprue police and filed a report. She expressed deep sadness over the incident and urged authorities to apprehend the suspect.
