Tour bus hits mentally ill homeless man

A moment when the man of unknown identity abruptly stepped onto Sukhumvit Road as a large tour bus was approaching was caught on CCTV footage of the disaster. He was then seriously hurt when the bus struck him. Yesterday, June 20, at 8:30 AM, Pattaya Police received a complaint of the collision.

It happened on Sukhumvit Road, which leads into South Pattaya, Chonburi’s Sattahip neighborhood.

The victim, described as a homeless person with mental health problems, was sent to Banglamung Hospital. The victim abruptly leapt onto the road without looking, according to Mr. Chaiwut Poonpan, the tour bus driver, who was questioned by The Pattaya News about the collision.

In time, he couldn’t brake, according to Chaiwut. As at the time of publication, the homeless man was still being treated in a hospital for non-life-threatening wounds.
