Police are hunting a thief who was seen on CCTV driving a motorbike sidecar, who they also believe was carrying a firearm, who is accused if breaking into a children’s toys shop on South Pattaya Road.
A staff member at the toy shop, 26-year-old Ms Saifon Tanawong told police and The Pattaya News that on May 15 at 2:30 AM the thief had stolen a tablet valued at 10,000 baht, a gold bracelet valued at 14,000 baht, two gold rings valued at 6,200 baht and 17,000 cash in the register.
The CCTV footage at the shop shows the male thief on a motorbike sidecar broke into the back of the shop after climbing to the second floor to gain access. The thief was also carrying a gun, Pattaya Police told the press, based on the footage.
Ms. Saifon mentioned that the shop had just recently reopened due to Covid19 closures and restrictions.
Pattaya Police are hunting for the thief to face legal actions. They believe that based on the CCTV footage they will be able to locate the individual.
