Thai Motorbike Taxi Drivers Clash with Chinese Tourists Over Public Urination in Pattaya
PATTAYA, Thailand – A late-night brawl broke out near Soi 6 after a group of Chinese tourists allegedly urinated in a restricted private area, ignoring warnings from Thai motorcycle taxi drivers.
The incident occurred at 11:36 PM on April 4th, prompting Pattaya police to rush to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found the two groups arguing heatedly, with witnesses reporting that the dispute had escalated into a fistfight before bystanders managed to break it up.
According to the motorcycle taxi drivers, the three Chinese men urinated in a clearly marked restricted area that displayed a “No Urinating” sign. When confronted, the tourists allegedly ignored the warnings and responded aggressively, leading to shirt-pulling and a physical altercation.
Both parties sustained minor injuries and were taken to Pattaya Police Station for questioning. As of now, they are undecided on whether to press charges, but with no serious injuries reported, it is likely that the issue will be settled without legal action.
