Thai Man Apprehended After Rampage

Police received a report of a man in a frenzied state attacking locals on Soi Buakhao 15, Banglamung, Chonburi. Upon arrival, officers found a crowd of shocked Thai and international tourists witnessing the chaotic scene. The suspect, identified only as 38-year-old Mr. Kongpop, was in a delirious state, shouting that the police had assaulted him.

The police attempted to calm him down and, taking advantage of a momentary distraction, safely apprehended him. Kongpop was then taken to Pattaya City Police Station to regain his composure. According to an unidentified eyewitness, Kongpop had entered a beer bar, jumping around and shouting. He reportedly smashed tables, broke glasses, and frightened tourists. After causing a disturbance inside the bar, he went on to attack local residents, hitting a motorcycle taxi driver over the head with a bottle, causing injuries.

The incident has left both locals and tourists shaken, underscoring the importance of a quick police response in maintaining public safety. Further investigations are underway to determine the cause of Kongpop’s outburst, which will likely include a drug test.
