Palang Pracharath to vote for Pheu Thai

On Thursday, the Pheu Thai Party received excellent news when a Palang Pracharath MP stated that his party would back Pheu Thai’s PM candidate in the forthcoming prime ministerial election.
After splitting from election winner Move Forward, Pheu Thai has formed a coalition of nine parties, which has the support of 238 MPs in the 500-seat House.

To get Thailand out of its current dilemma, the nine-party alliance has asked all MPs, regardless of political membership, to vote for its PM candidate.

Pai Leeke, Palang Pracharath’s Kamphaeng Phet MP, stated on Thursday that his party members have agreed to vote for the Pheu Thai PM candidate because Thailand is in desperate need of a new administration to deal with the difficulties facing the people.

“Every single Palang Pracharath MP will vote for the Pheu Thai candidate, and if we make a move, we go as a whole.” Pai Leeke emphasized, adding that he was confident in Pheu Thai’s ability to assist the nation.

He did, however, state that Pheu Thai had yet to establish official contact with his organization.

Palang Pracharath, led by outgoing Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwon, won 40 seats in the May 14 general election.

Soon after the MP expressed his position, the Pheu Thai Party issued a statement declaring that the party is seeking support from every MP and senator in order to establish a government to address the people’s concerns.

Despite criticism from its followers, Pheu Thai party-list MP Somsak Thepsuthin previously stated that he had discussed joining the Pheu Thai-led coalition with members of the United Thai Nation party.

If the United Thai Nation Party decides to collaborate, all of its MPs should join together, according to Somsak, who formerly served as Palang Pracharath MP.

United Thai Nation, led by former Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, won 36 seats in the election.
