Officers from Bang Chan police department found an alleged suspect hiding in a rental room in Saphan Sung, Bangkok, with a total of 61,000 methamphetamine pills. Mr. Phitsanu Pongsri, 25, was named as the alleged suspect in public.

Police sources said that Phitsanu was selling illegal narcotics to youths and drug addicts in Saphan Sung during the inquiry. When the detectives arrived on the scene, they saw Phitsanu acting strangely in front of his chamber. Phitsanu reportedly admitted during questioning that he had concealed 61,000 amphetamine pills inside his room.
According to Phitsanu, Mr. Phongnukorn Poolsawat, 31, contacted him via social media on October 10th, 2023, asking him to pick up the illegal drug and deliver it to his room.
However, Phitsanu is also reported to have stated that Phongnukorn would compensate him 7,000 baht in exchange for holding the package, after which Phongnukorn would gather it back and distribute it to locals.
Phongnukorn was given an arrest warrant by the police, and Phitsanu was led to the investigation officers for further legal action.
