Project to restore Jomtien Beach is expected to be finished within the next month.

The Na Jomtien Beach Sand Supplement project is now 90% finished despite delays brought on by the COVID-19 epidemic, according to the most recent information provided on May 17 by Eakaraj Kantaro, Director of the Marine Office, Pattaya Branch.

The activities had encountered certain difficulties, according to Eakaraj, notably in the locations where the sand addition could not be used, such as boat ramps, sculptural signs, and water flow rules. The designs for each particular location had to be revised as a result of these problems.

These issues have already been brought up with the chief by the Marine Office, Pattaya Branch, in order to get amended plans approved. He stated that the contractor will move forward with the remaining work, hoping to complete it by June 2023, if and when the designs are authorized. A 50-meter-wide beach line and 3.5 kilometers of additional sand are included in the project. When the project is finished, the beach zone will be extended, promoting tourism and recreational activities in Pattaya City and bringing in more money for the local economy and the local tourism industry.
