Pattaya to become family-oriented tourism hub

At a seminar at the Pattaya Discovery Beach Hotel, Mayor Poramet Ngamphichet unveiled an ambitious plan for Pattaya’s transformation into a destination for families. The seminar’s main goal for its fifth session, which was this one, was to raise the bar for the Immigration Office’s work in the coming fiscal year 2023. The Immigration Bureau Commander, Pol. Lt. Gen. Pakphoomphiphat Sajaphan, as well as deputy commanders, officers from the office’s network of partner police departments, as well as representatives from the city and the council, were present.
As the keynote speaker, Mayor Poramet spoke about his plans for the regeneration of Pattaya. The development of the city from a vibrant, colorful tourist destination to a family-friendly tourism center that welcomes tourists of all ages and backgrounds was the main focus of his presentation. Pattaya’s newfound status as a “Family Destination,” as well as its preparedness to welcome visitors as a Sports City, Wellness City, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) City, were highlighted by the mayor. All of these features have been created with a firm commitment to visitor security.
Significant infrastructural renovation initiatives, as well as enhancements to Walking Street’s beauty and safety, are important aspects of Pattaya’s transition. Communication cables have been buried, pedestrian pathways have been renovated, and emergency preparation and aesthetically pleasing signpost upgrades have also been made. The well-known Bali Hai Pier has been reinforced and furnished with sun and rain shelters for visitors and locals, enhancing convenience and comfort.

Additionally, Pattaya has given its public parks new life and constantly conducts a wide variety of events throughout the year, all of which are carefully planned to draw visitors and boost the local economy.
Mayor Poramet stated at the conclusion of the seminar. “Pattaya’s unwavering dedication to strengthening tourism and safety measures is positioned to not only bring in more visitors but also significantly boost the city’s economy and the overall development of Thailand. Pattaya is on a spectacular journey toward a future that is better for everyone and more inclusive.
