Pattaya Airways, owned by the Pattaya Group, is set to take flight in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to the CEO, Tosaporn Asunee. With the post-Covid situation stabilizing, there is a growing demand for air transportation services, and Pattaya Airways aims to capitalize on this opportunity.
Initially targeting international customers in the Asian region, the airline plans to expand into other regions in the future. Having secured its air operator’s license in September, Pattaya Airways is one step closer to obtaining its air operator’s certificate.
For its launch, the airline plans to dry lease two ATR72-500(F) aircraft. To meet the increasing demand for e-commerce transportation, three additional ATR aircraft will be added between 2026 and 2028. The Pattaya Group, primarily known for its ground-handling business, is excited to venture into the airline industry and tap into the growing market.
