Residents and visitors of Soi Bua Khao will soon find relief from their traffic frustrations with the implementation of a new one-way traffic plan. The Traffic Management Committee, along with other officials, recently met with Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn to discuss the details of the plan.
The plan, which was approved by the Municipal Governance Committee, aims to tackle the severe congestion and traffic issues that have plagued the area for some time. Following a survey of public opinion and resolution from a previous meeting, it was decided that reorganizing traffic flow into a one-way system would be the best solution.
To start, the one-way plan will be trialed in the Soi Diana and Soi Honey sections. These areas have already received positive feedback from the local community. Soi Diana will serve as the traffic route from Pattaya Second Road, leading vehicles to turn right into Soi Honey Inn and enter Soi Bua Khao.
To ensure a smooth transition, a comprehensive survey will be conducted to mark and paint the designated traffic lines. Informational signs will also be installed, featuring announcements in both Thai and English. The full implementation of the plan is expected to take place in 2024.
Deputy Mayor Wuthisak emphasized that this plan aims to alleviate traffic congestion, improve the overall traffic management system, and enhance safety and convenience for the public. It is also expected to boost the image and attractiveness of Pattaya.
Soi Bua Khao residents and visitors can finally look forward to smoother traffic flow and a more enjoyable experience in the near future.
