Thai chicken farm owners (March 25, 2020) confirmed that there is no shortage of chicken eggs in the country.
In an interview with the Thai-language daily Khao Sod, Mr Mongkol Pipatsattayanurak, chairman of the Chicken Egg Farmers and Traders, said the current daily output of chicken eggs is about 40 million. The price of each egg from the farms is 2.80 baht.
Mr Mongkol dismissed rumours that the price of Thai eggs will go up because foreign traders have been hoarding eggs, which will be shipped to Singapore.
