Rescue workers were quick to the scene where the damaged pick-up truck was at the side of the road.

Mr Sutthisak Ponnikorn that had been driving the trailer truck and who was actually uninjured himself had told Pattaya police that the pick-up had been driving at high speeds right before the accident happened.
Apparently the pick-up driver had lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the central reservation and then crashed into the trailer truck before ending up in the grass in the middle of the highway.
