The Central Pattaya-Sukhumvit Road underpass illumination installation process has been expedited by Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, who has shortened the schedule from the initial announcement by 60 days.
The procurement process for the 550 units of “ready-to-install electrical materials” is still underway as of May 19, 2023. In compliance with government laws, the earliest date that can be used to enter into a procurement contract is now June 15, 2023.
Pattaya City had already fixed 100 damaged lighting before the end of 2022. To replace the remaining damaged old lights that were not replaced during the earlier replacement attempts, an additional 550 lights totaling 550 were bought in the fiscal year 2023. Mayor Poramet Ngampichet has underlined the significance of accelerating the installation process to achieve completion as soon as feasible after appointing a contractor.
