Nine families in the southern Thai province of Trang are calling for help after have been living without electricity for more than 10 years, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported (Jan 29, 2019).
“I have met officials at the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) many times but they kept telling me to wait,” one member of the families told the paper.
“My two children have to rush home to do their homework before sunset,” he said. “We light candles at night.”
“I don’t understand why the PEA is doing nothing.”
