Koh Chang ferry queue jumpers sent back

Tourists who arrived in Koh Chang on Friday for the holiday weekend caused havoc on the island on Sunday, with automobiles forming lines to reach the boat.
According to police, automobiles had clogged the 4-kilometer road between Ban Had Sai Khao and Ban Dan Kao villages as visitors waited to board the ferry to Trat.

The line also extended from the top of Koh Chang Mountain to the Pineapple Bay dock, with vehicles going at a snail’s pace, according to authorities.

Officers said they had to keep an eye out for drivers that tried to cut ahead of the line by flashing their emergency lights and pretending they weren’t waiting.

However, these drivers later cut in front of the queue.

Police said they would order queue jumpers to return to the end of the line if they saw them. The average ferry wait time was four hours.
