KO’d by new drinking friend

KO'd by new drinking friend

A Russian man was punched to the floor by his new drinking companion after an argument early on Monday morning, requiring emergency resuscitation.

Pattaya police were called to house 138/58 in the View Point housing estate on Chaiyapruek 1 Road around 3 a.m.

There, they found 36-year-old Igor Yasilyev unconscious on the floor. Rescue workers administered resuscitation before taking him to the hospital.

According to his friend, Piyada Barason, 22, Mr. Yasilyev had been drinking at the house with six friends, including four foreigners. He had only recently met one of them. Both men were intoxicated and became embroiled in a heated argument.

The new friend stood up and punched Mr. Yasilyev, causing him to fall. His head hit the floor, leaving him bleeding and unconscious, Ms. Piyada said.

The suspect fled the scene, and police are actively searching for him.
