Police from the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) conducted an inspection of a commercial building on Kanchanaphisek Road in Sala Thammasop Subdistrict, Thawi Watthana District, Bangkok. They were acting on information that the building was being used to store counterfeit foreign brand products.
The building’s caretaker, Ms. Kanya, claimed that she was merely responsible for maintaining the property and identified a Chinese man named Mr. Chen as the employer and owner of the goods.
Authorities seized a significant quantity of counterfeit items as evidence for prosecution, including:
- 5,067 fake luxury watches from brands such as Rolex, Casio, Omega, and Patek Philippe
- 1,150 bottles of counterfeit perfumes from brands like Gucci, Dior, Chanel, and Armani
- Over 800 fake mobile phones
- 770 counterfeit APPLE earphones
- 6,720 fake mobile phone batteries
- 122 counterfeit brake pumps
- 3,496 fake branded shirts
- 2,800 pairs of counterfeit pants
- 360 pairs of fake shoes
- 5,208 counterfeit bags
