Indian man arrested for overstaying 6 years

In a dramatic turn of events, immigration police in Nonthaburi nabbed an Indian man who allegedly operated as an illegal money lender and discovered that he had overstayed in the country for a shocking six years.

The 39-year-old man, known only as Kay, was apprehended in front of his rented room in Moo 3 village. This arrest came as a result of an investigation into foreign nationals involved in illicit money lending, a problem that the government is keen on tackling.

Local residents tipped off the immigration police about the Indian man’s unlawful lending activities in Tambon Sai Ma. Reportedly, he collected repayments from borrowers using a motorcycle.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the man had overstayed for a staggering 2,366 days, or over six years. Authorities also found a debt repayment record book in his room.

During preliminary questioning, the accused individual denied any involvement in money lending, claiming that the book belonged to another Indian national.

The immigration police will continue their investigation into this case, bringing justice to those affected by illegal lending activities while addressing the issue of overstaying in the country.
