Foreigner dies in motorbike crash after hitting a street sign in Pattaya

This morning, June 12, a foreigner on a large bike crashed with a street sign in Pattay and perished instantly.

The 30- to 35-year-old unnamed foreign guy was discovered on a footpath on Pattaya Second Road in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province, lying in a pool of blood. Rescuers from Sawang Boriboon who arrived at the scene of the accident at 3 a.m. made an effort to treat the man, but due to his severe injuries, he soon lost his life.

A damaged red Honda CB650R motorcycle with a Bangkok license plate was found on the road by Pattaya Police. Also found close to the deceased was a loosened metal signpost. There were no identifying papers on him. Mr. Wirat Wiratchalap, an eyewitness, claimed that he saw the deceased traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control of his car while negotiating a bend.

Then the man turned onto the sidewalk, which sent him flying into a signpost and killed him.
