100 tourists were evacuated after a fire broke out a condominium in Jomtien, Pattaya early on Sunday morning.
Fire and rescue workers attended the scene at around 5 am on Sunday.
Thai media reported there was mass panic among residents at the condo with many unable to find a way to escape from the building.
Some residents could be seen on their balconies screaming for help, 77Kaoded reported.
The fire alarm went off as intended but was ignored by some residents who say it often goes off, with others believing the alarm was a drill.
Some residents required hospital treatment for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters said the blaze started in room 709 on the 7th floor.
An investigation is underway to establish what caused the fire.
