The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, Pol. Maj. Gen. Prutthiphong Nuchanart, together with key officials, conducted a press conference regarding the raid on a diesel smuggling network that involved over 23 million litres of fuel within Thai territorial seas.
Following the public disclosure of a report from an unidentified source, Pol. Maj. Gen. Following a field investigation, the crime suppression officers discovered a link to a vast network.
As per the information provided by the Thai criminal suppression authorities, over 10 individuals were apprehended, and 23 million litres of illicit diesel were seized in a span of two years. According to reports, the penalty rate can reach 2.7 billion baht.
According to the authorities, at first, the majority of the suspects allegedly admitted their wrongdoings, while some of them refuted the accusations.

The police promised to look into the matter more thoroughly in order to punish those responsible for the crimes—which harm the country and other fishermen—accountable.
