After robbing a gold shop a transgender suspect was apprehended at a Pattaya hair salon.

Two days ago April 26, a transgender suspect was detained after stealing a gold store in Pattaya.

According to the police, the suspect, Chuenkamol Nasingkhan, 30, is transgender and self-identifies as female. Yesterday at 11:20 AM she stole two gold necklaces worth two baht each from the Phet Thong Wanida jewelry store in Pattaya’s Soi Nern Plub Wan. She was caught around 4:30 PM.Police said that a face-masked Chuenkamol entered the establishment and asked to try two gold necklaces before leaving on a motorcycle that was parked in front of the business.

There were no reported injuries.After that, the unnamed store owner reported the robbery to Pattaya Police. The police immediately started looking for the culprit, and they soon discovered that Chuenkamol had driven her motorcycle to the Big C Extra Department Store in Central Pattaya in an effort to try to sell one of the stolen gold necklaces for 61,380 Baht.

Chuenkamol went to the Hair Care Salon to change her hair color after receiving the money, where she was later detained by police who had been watching her movements on Pattaya’s CCTV system. A total of four hours were spent on the police operation.

After being questioned, Chuenkamol reportedly admitted to the heist but gave an excuse about needing the money to pay off bills and begged for mercy.

She was being held in custody and facing robbery charges.
