Fisherman’s body found near Phuket’s Koh Racha

The body of one of two fishermen who went missing two weeks ago in rough seas ago was found near Koh Racha in Phuket on Monday night, police said.

 

The body of Saksri Naowaprai, 41, was found at 7pm floating on the Andaman Sea northeast of Koh Racha in Tambon Rawai in Phuket’s Muang district.

Saksri and his friend, Pawit Salee, 58, went fishing with their long-tail fishing boat near Koh Racha on July 5. That same day, huge waves sank the Phoenix diving boat, with 47 passengers killed

Pawit remains unaccounted for.
