A mild earthquake, 3.6 in magnitude, shook Chiang Mai’s Chai Prakan district just past 9am on Friday.
The Meteorological Department’s Seismological Bureau said the quake’s centre was one kilometre deep at latitude 19.70 and longitude 99.11.
Residents said they noticed a slight tremor, but district chief Anawat Sattabutr said no damage had been reported.
