Swedish Man in Tears After Girlfriend’s Tragic Suicide in Pattaya
A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in South Pattaya, Chon Buri, as a Swedish man was found in tears beside his girlfriend’s lifeless body in a condominium on March 2.
Police Major Suthiraphan Tapasri of Mueang Pattaya Police Station received a report at 4:06 am regarding a suicide incident. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Sureetip, reportedly took her own life using a pair of trousers. Her devastated boyfriend discovered her and carried her body downstairs, where he remained inconsolable until authorities arrived and comforted him.
Desperate Attempts to Save Her
According to the condominium’s security guard, the foreign man had sought help before the incident, expressing concern that his girlfriend was in distress and had locked him out. Despite repeated attempts to get inside, there was no response.
Fearing for her safety, the security guard climbed to the rear balcony and made the tragic discovery. He immediately alerted the police.
Signs of Emotional Distress
A close friend of Sureetip revealed that she had been deeply troubled over issues in her relationship. Earlier that evening, she confided in her friend about her despair, even mentioning that the only time people would cry for her was at her funeral. Alarmed by this, the friend tried to console her and rushed to see her.
At the time of the incident, the Swedish boyfriend had left for dinner, leaving Sureetip alone in their room. Upon his return, he found himself locked out and urgently sought the security guard’s assistance. Sadly, by the time they gained entry, it was too late.
