A man has been charged with money laundering after £400,000 was discovered in a suitcase at Heathrow Airport. The Austrian national was arrested by Border Force officers on Wednesday while attempting to board a flight to Turkey, according to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
In addition to the cash found in his suitcase, officers confiscated nearly 11,000 Euros (approximately £9,150) from his carry-on backpack. The man is set to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
